Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Compensation: $11.00/hr

Cox Manufacturing is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to work with our maintenance team. We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and a desire to learn. Candidate must be available to work 1st shift.

Duties / Requirements

  • Troubleshoot controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical problems on production equipment
  • Strong math skills (must pass math test with 90% or higher)
  • Must be able to perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving your whole body, such as lifting, walking and stooping
  • Electrical, Mechanical, PLC, and troubleshooting experience a plus
  • Blueprint reading skills a plus

Training Coordinator

Compensation: Varies based on experience

The training coordinator is responsible for overseeing the training program, including implementation of company training programs, facilitation, tracking, and day to day operations. Ensures employees have the required tools, knowledge, and skills to perform the jobs and supports the company vision.

Duties

  • Ensures employees have the required tools, knowledge, and skills to perform their jobs.
  • Will work with all management and supervisory staff to address changes in the work environment.
  • Set up and assist employees with Tooling University.
  • Train new employees on basic metrology including but not limited to calipers, micrometer, and comparator.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Undergraduate degree ideal.
  • CNC experience preferred.
  • Caliper, micrometer, and comparator experience preferred.
  • Must have technical writing skills.
  • Must know how to read blueprints.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to communicate on a professional level with all employees.
  • Knowledge of Tooling University training program preferred.
  • Motivating and encouraging to others.
  • Leadership skills to effectively direct employees while in a training environment.
  • Willing to take on new challenges and adapt.
  • Walk shop floor 50% of the work day.
  • Work in shop conditions which include hot and cold temperatures.
  • Stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, reach, talk, see, hear, crouch, type, and write.


Sales Account Manager / Specialist

Compensation: Varies based on experience

Account Managers/Specialists are the primary point of contact for our growing base of technical/manufacturing clients. We build strong customer relationships through outstanding service and administrative execution within our high quality contract manufacturing business. (Note: This is not an aggressive sales position.)

Experienced CNC Machinist

Compensation: Varies based on experience

Cox Manufacturing has openings for experienced CNC setup/operators. Experience with CNC Swiss machinery is a plus. Candidates must be available 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. (These are not rotating shifts). There are immediate openings for the right candidates.

Duties

  • Responsible for the set up of CNC machinery to produce precision parts
  • Troubleshoot CNC machine processes
  • Responsible for performing routine operational checks and repair work on functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Install and monitor machine tooling
  • Handle, install, and use raw materials and related fluids
  • Inspect parts for quality and conformance with specifications
  • Work planning and job control

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with and knowledge of general machining principles
  • Experience with precision metrology instruments
  • Blueprint reading
  • Must pass math test with 90% or higher
  • Must be available to work 1st shift and willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift


Machine Technician Apprentice

Compensation: $11.00/hr

Cox Manufacturing is looking for individuals that are interested in making manufacturing a career. We offer a 3 year apprentice program to advance your skills and improve your earnings power. If you are interested in making manufacturing your career, then this job is for you. Strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and a desire to learn are the key to this position. The first six months of training will be on day shift, then shift assignment may change based on business needs.

Duties

  • Responsible for performing routine operational checks and repair work on functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Install and monitor machine tooling
  • Handle, install, and use raw materials and related fluids
  • Inspect parts for quality and conformance with specifications
  • Work planning and job control

Minimum Requirements

  • Must pass math test with 90% or higher
  • Must be available to work 1st and 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Prior experience not required

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with and knowledge of general machining principles
  • Blueprint reading
  • Experience with precision metrology instruments


Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Compensation: Starts at $10.00/hr based on experience.

We are seeking an associate to help with shipping, receiving, parts washing, sorting from tumbler, and packaging parts. Experience is not required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must be available to work half days on Saturday.
  • Must be available to work 1st and 2nd shift.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must pass Math test with 75% or higher.


Quality Control Technician

Compensation: Varies based on experience

Cox Manufacturing is seeking an individual to inspect machined parts in compliance with blueprint requirements and communicate discrepancies on written forms. Candidate must be able to work 1st shift. Some experience preferred. Must be able to pass our math test with 90% or higher.

Duties / Requirements

  • Able to read basic part prints
  • Have an understanding of tolerances and basic geometry
  • Basic understanding of shop mathematics
  • Able to use, care for and calibrate metrology instruments
  • Able to use go and no-go thread gages
  • Must be able to lift lot bins up to 30 pounds
  • Manipulate all metrology equipment


Parts Sorter

Compensation: $9.50/Hr.

Candidate would be responsible for de-burring and checking machined parts for defects. Must be available 1st shift. No experience required. Must be able to pass a math test with 80% or higher.
