The San Antonio Manufacturers Association's 14th Annual FunBowl Benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank took place Saturday, Nov. 10th.
The San Antonio Manufacturers Association ("SAMA") began the annual bowling tournament to promote teambuilding within member companies and to provide a fun day of entertainment for the entire family. It’s now developed into not only an event for fun, but more importantly, a fundraiser for the San Antonio Food Bank and a way for SAMA to give back to the community.
Every $1 donated enables the SA Food Bank to provide 7 meals for families and individuals in need. This year, Cox Manufacturing employees raised over $1200; combined with other participating companies, the event raised a total of over $5000 for the Food Bank. Cox has participated in the FunBowl Tournament every year since 2011 and placed third overall in the tournament on Saturday.
