Cox Mfg has completed construction of a fourth building that will act as a new, state-of-the-art tool room.
Cox Manufacturing's recent expansions are not over yet--the company has added another building that was completed this month.
This new building is the first fully two-story structure on the Cox Mfg campus, with two 5,625 sq. ft. floors, as opposed to the small storage and office mezzanines present in the current production buildings. The current tool room equipment in the main production building is being moved to the first floor of the new building, giving the in-house toolmakers room to be able to expand and organize their tool and die inventory. The improved tool room also houses a new, state-of-the-art Anca MX7 Linear CNC grinder with laser measurement, tool probes, and fully-integrated simulation software to create better, more precise tooling.
The second floor consists of an elevator-accessible break and conference room for employees, a much-needed upgrade from a small, second floor in the main building that has been used for company meetings and luncheons for decades.
This addition comes not long after the completion of a 6,000 sq. ft. raw material warehouse, which finished construction in 2017. Future plans include an expansion to the existing material warehouse, as well as a two-story, 17K sq. ft. footprint production building, an expansion of the account manager office area, and a new paved parking lot to accomodate the growing employee base. Cox Manufacturing is continuing to grow upward and outward, as it has done for over 60 years. The Company will progress with the newest machining and manufacturing technologies and grow to better meet the complex needs of their clients. Above all, it means that customers can expect Cox Manufacturing to continue to uphold its three core values: Teamwork, Perseverance, and Continuous Improvement.
