PMPA NextGen Committee Meets at Cox

The PMPA NextGen Committee met at Cox Mfg for a tour and discussion.

The Precision Machined Products Association ("PMPA") NextGen initiative is made up of key members from manufacturing companies across the nation. They aim to help educate the younger generation about the high-skilled and rewarding career opportunities in the growing manufacturing industry. On January 8, 2019, the committee was invited to tour the Cox Mfg facility with Cox Training Coordinator and PMPA NextGen member Sean Althaus.

Tour groups were led by Training Coordinator Sean Althaus and Vice President of Manufacturing Mike Petrusch. The PMPA NextGen members were shown the production buildings and material warehouse, as well as the custom computer application developed by Cox Mfg's programmers.

After the tour, the committee members met to discuss their presentation at the upcoming PMPA National Tech Conference in March. The focus will be on hiring and training techniques and the successes and failures of employee engagement as the industry continues to evolve.
