Computer Programmer 

Compensation: varies by position and experience

Experience: 1 year minimum

Cox Manufacturing is building a team to exploit the technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The Multi-Disciplined Team skillsets of interest for Industry 4.0/IIOT/Data-Driven Manufacturing will include Computer Programming, PLC Programming, Electrical Engineering, Data Analysts, and Engineering Technicians.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented; autonomous; problem-solver

  • Must be a tech-savvy life learner and have a steady work history

Preferred Knowledge In:

CNC Mill Programmer 

Cox Manufacturing has openings for experienced CNC Mill programmers and setup personnel in the highly desirable area of San Antonio.

Compensation: $20 - $28 + (commensurate with experience).

Experience with either CNC Swiss or twin spindle multi-axis lathes with live tooling is a plus. Cox Mfg is looking for machinists who are results-driven, independent and assertive. There are immediate openings for the right candidates. Full benefit package offered including medical, 401(k), etc.

Duties

  • Responsible for the setup of CNC machinery to produce precision parts
  • Troubleshoot CNC machine processes
  • Responsible for performing routine operational checks and repair work on functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Install and monitor machine tooling
  • Handle, install, and use raw materials and related fluids
  • Inspect parts for quality and conformance with specifications
  • Work planning, programming with CAD/CAM system and job control

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Esprit and Solid Works experience or comparable CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to create a tooling, programming and process strategy from part prints and engineering information
  • Ability to set up and operate numerical-control machines by applying knowledge of machining methods 
  • Experience with one of the following CNC controls – Haas, Brother, Fanuc
  • Knowledge of best practice mill fixture design and use
  • Ability to adjust and calculate machine speed, depths, and feed ratios
  • Ability to change cutting tools and adjust machine controls to ensure specified timing, clearances, and tolerances
  • Ability to check and edit existing programs
  • Ability to measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Ability to use metrology equipment such as micrometers, thread & pin gages, profilometer, calipers, optical comparator

 

 

Machining Apprentice 

Cox Manufacturing is looking for individuals that are interested in making manufacturing a career. We offer a 3-5 year apprentice program to advance your skills and improve your earnings power. If you are interested in making manufacturing your career, then this job is for you. Strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and a desire to learn are the key to this position. The training will be on day shift; once trained, shift assignment may change based on business needs.

Pay Scale at each level of Apprenticeship:
Year 1: $14
Year 2: $15
Year 3: $17
Grad: $20

Shift Differential: $1.50 / $2.00 per hour

Duties

  • Responsible for performing routine operational checks and repair work on functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Install and monitor machine tooling
  • Handle, install, and use raw materials and related fluids
  • Inspect parts for quality and conformance with specifications
  • Work planning and job control

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must pass math test 
  • Must be available to work 1st and 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Prior experience not required
  • All factory positions must be willing to work at least 2 different shifts

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience with and knowledge of general machining principles
  • Blueprint reading
  • Experience with precision metrology instruments

 

 

Shipping/Receiving

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Full time (40 hour/wk) positions.

Pay starting at $12.00. This position is day shift (7am – 4pm), and must be able to work 2nd shift as needed. This is NOT a rotating shift.

Shift differential: $1.50 per hour

Duties

  • Shipping, receiving, parts washing, sorting from tumbler, and packaging parts
  • Store and move parts in a timely manner
  • Maintain the inventory and shipping systems

 

 

Light Assembly

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Full time (40 hour/wk) positions.

Pay starting at $12.00. This position is day shift (7am – 4pm), and must be able to work 2nd shift as needed. This is NOT a rotating shift.

Shift differential: $1.50 per hour

Duties

  • Perform a variety of tasks such as sorting, reworking, deburring parts and assembly
  • Wash, sort and visually check parts per written and/or verbal instructions
  • Check part quality using common measuring and gaging instruments
  • Document inspection outputs as required

 

 

Quality Technician 

Pay starts at $14.00 + $1.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift employees.

This position is currently day shift (7am - 4pm), but must be able to work an off shift as needed.

Duties

  • Perform a variety of tasks such as part inspection, including cosmetic and dimensional evaluation
  • Inspect parts and/or raw material (bars) in accordance with verbal and written instructions such as control plans and part prints
  • Learn vision system programming, capability studies, statistical analysis, calibration, and other related subjects
  • Construct basic gaging systems and create First Article reports, PPAP and FAIR submissions with supervision
  • High volume/fast-paced environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must pass math test 
  • Must be available to work 1st and 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Day shift positions available and must be able to work an off shift

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to use micrometers, calipers and other metrology instruments

 

 

Maintenance Mechanic

Compensation: $14/hr and up. This position is day shift (7am – 4pm), but must be able to work 2nd shift as needed.

Shift differential: $1.50 per hour

Cox Manufacturing is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to work with our maintenance team. Need strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and a desire to learn. Candidate must be available to work 1st shift. 

Duties

  • Troubleshoot controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical problems on production equipment
  • Facilities maintenance
  • Must be able to perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving one’s whole body, such as lifting, walking, and stooping
  • Blueprint reading

 

 

Experienced CNC Machinist

Compensation: Varies based on experience

Shift Differential: $1.50 / $2.00 per hour

Duties
