Steel 11L37

Steel alloy 11L37 is a general purpose alloy, ideal for parts that require strength and machinability. It has good stress resistance. 11L37 is considered resulphurized.

11L37 is easily machined due to the addition of lead to its composition. It has a machining cost factor of 2.7 when compared to steel 12L14. Welding is not ideal due to its high lead and sulfur content. 11L37 can be annealed, quenched, tempered, and heat treated.
